Loan Set Up Coordinator

The Loan Opener position coordinates the set up of mortgage loan files for the Loan Officers and Processors. The Loan Opener provides support by preparing and reviewing loan documents, entering application information into the FICS loan system, and work closely with all parties involved in the loan process including but not limited to customers, loan officers, escrow, title, etc., to order and collect additional loan documentation.

Essential Job Functions

  • Labels borrower documentation and disclosures in the e-folder
  • Completes “order outs”
  • Title/CPL/tax cert/wire instructions/preliminary closing figures
  • Flood cert
  • Tax transcripts
  • VOE’s, VOR’s, VOM’s
  • Homeowners insurance
  • Condo questionnaire
  • Reviews received ordered items for accuracy and files into appropriate e-folder
  • Follows up on ordered items to ensure received in a timely manner
  • Contacts third parties from order outs to request corrections or updates needed
  • Communicates with loan processor and loan officer assistant to the status of items ordered, received and pending
  • Marks preliminary conditions as “received” once received and uploaded into the e-folder
  • Runs daily reporting to follow up on missing ordered items
  • Orders all required services with file setup
  • Sends initial loan application disclosures and re-disclosures to customers via email or over-night service

Required Education and Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalency degree
  • Demonstrated experience working in a fast paced and changing environment
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of customer service and intrapersonal best practices
  • Demonstrated experience with attention to detail, written and oral communication, multi-tasking, and working in a team atmosphere adhering to tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated experience with MS Office software products including 10 key

  • This position is primarily an in office position
  • Normal office environment
